We went to Corner Cafe for dinner. The parking lot was crowded as usual. We were lucky and only had to wait about 10 minutes.
My husband and I split the four piece fried chicken dinner. It comes with two sides. He wanted mashed potatoes and I wanted fries. Great, we each got what we wanted! The meal came with a breast, wing, leg, thigh. The chicken was fried perfectly. Actually, I've been hunting for good fried chicken (without me being in the kitchen) and Corner's is at the top of the list. It's also quite a bit cheaper than some other chicken restaurants in Kansas City.
Corner's menu is quite extensive, so there's something for everyone. They also have scrumptious pies. -

Waitress was great, the rest of the staff acted really weird as you went toward the restroom, like they were caught doing nothing-which most all were. It was really odd.
Food was ok, but don't spend the extra buck or 50cents (don't recall which) for the fancy thick curly fries on the upgraded sides menu. Regular fries are jus fine.
Old motorcycles were cool. The crustiness on the back of a few chairs at the table was not cool. You know how you feel it with your hand when you go to push your chair in and you are like ehhhh, that's dried old stuff right there.
Not really much here if you are a vegan, but not counting that against them as I didn't expect that going in. Our server was really great though and should get a shout out. Don't have her name but we were at a table of eight at noon and she had very short dark hair, rosy complexion and smiled a lot. -

Corner Cafe responded to my review which I appreciate and here is my response:
Ed,
I appreciate the response. Being a business owner I know the importance of being made aware of an issue and then dealing with it in an appropriate manner. You have satisfied my objective of bringing it to someone's attention and of seeing if Corner Café cared enough to respond. The intention was not to get something for free but to see if I could in good conscious return to your business or spend my money somewhere else.
I will continue to frequent Corner Café and will amend my review to express my gratitude for the response.
5-star customer service for a fast and satisfactory response to a service issue. Food has always been good at Corner Cafe. -

My family loves corner cafe and I just can't seem to enjoy it as much. The food is good, just not my absolute favorite. HOWEVER : I would visit just for a cinnamon roll and regular roll. Those two things are PRIME.
You also get a lot of food for a good price and the service is friendly.
It's a good place for a hearty meal - the menu is giant. -

I absolutely love this place. We always get the best service and food. If your looking for a family home feeling you must go here.
I usually get the chicken fried chicken which is light and amazing. I love their Mac n cheese and gravy.
Don't forget to get one of their amazing pies or huge cinnamon rolls to go!
